Due to new Windows meaning a new media player, all bands beginning with ‘The’ now come under T. This has caused not inconsiderable swearing, but does mean I can submit The Wombats, The Duckworth Lewis Method, and The Levellers for consideration. Annoyingly, the latter changed their official name at some point and so some albums are also under L.

Anyhoo, good choices here. I’ve never actually heard anything off Tool’s first album l, even though I’m secretly a fan. And I’m always down for some AC/DC.

I’ll think of a whole host of other bands soon, but can I add a quick vote for Throwing Muses here? I love weird females in music and, as part of the whole early-nineties-4AD scene, epitomise the underground shit your cooler friends look smugly superior for knowing. And they’re still doing excellent stuff now

Yeah I personally kept “The” Out of it 🙂

Sounds like it might be time to check out early tool then! 🙂

AC/DC just have that anytime you’re ready pal energy. Goes well with anything IMO.

You know that isnt a band I am familliar with! Thanks 😀

The Muses build songs around the bits other bands would throw away. They share genetics with The Pixies, Belly (my favourite) and The Breeders: all that early 90s 4AD/Boston scene that was cool before you knew what cool was. I think true fans tend to hark to the early albums – Hunkpapa and The Real Ramona. But I really love 2019’s Sun Racket

I really dig Tool and their progressive metal. Excellent musicians, great songwriting, and music that feels more like an artwork.
