    Well, I had a Sony Walkman and like many I had a copy of that Pink Floyd album. I thought Europe arrived later than this year, and I confess I’m not familiar with Venom. I also thought My Sharona was 1981, so again, a little later than Comfortably Numb. So, which year? The album was 1979 so I’ll go with that year as my answer, although it was released as a single, which I’m guessing would have been 1980.

    I go with 1979 also…for once because of the music rather than the world event. Although the Knack opening for Pink Floyd would go over as well as Prince opening for the Rolling Stones (the latter really happened).

        YAY! I’d better to check, but I’m leaning towards 1979, as I’ve remembered it was on an album in 1980, I think? I’ll take the win though. Thanks! 🙂
