A-Z Of Rock: B Part 2

Welcome to our weekly alphabet themed rock post! In this post we will talk about a specific letter of the alphabet and associate it with all things rock music!

This will include a band with that letter, a song as well as a rocker. There is an accompanying playlist so that the selected songs can be enjoyed! Click the Spotify link below and remember to save it!

Band

This was my favourite song on this album by Bring Me The Horizon. Which is odd as it sounds Deftones like and they are not my cuppa tea! Bring Me are a band that know how to reinvent themselves to move with the times, which means at times I don’t like their songs. This is a straight up win though.

Bring Me The Horizon – Limousine (All Rights Are Retained By Bring Me The Horizon)

Song

Is there much that needs to be said about this song? It’s iconic, as is the man performing it. I have never had the pleasure of hearing it live, but maybe one day! I enjoy the raspy tone of Bruce here.

Bruce Springsteen – Born To Run (All Rights Are Retained By Bruce Springsteen)

Rocker

Bret Michaels was the one member of Poison that I always thought despite being the singer was overlooked. The band were all musically proficient but their cheesy nature saw them looked down on. Just listen to this and face it. You like a bit of cheese.

Poison – Talk Dirty To Me (All Rights Are Retained By Poison)

When my son gets older, he’s definitely going to enjoy reading your blog as he is a natural born rocker:)

Bruce is my go-to. Great songwriting, great lyrics, and an incredibly tight backup band.

One of my favorite tunes is “Thunder Road”, but the live version recorded at the Odeon back in the late 70s. It’s just Bruce backed by a piano. Gives me chills every time I hear it.
