Song Of The Week – Kalkyl – Waves

Song Background Information

Kalkyl ft Spiral Drive – Waves (All Rights Are Retained by Kalkyl & Spiral Drive)

Waves reveals KALK¥L at their most luminous. A hypnotic, looping guitar riff sets a cinematic tone, evoking the feeling of a desert drive with a shimmering horizon and dusty heat, while warm, analog synths carry a light, floating pulse.

The chorus swells and crashes like a wave, pulling everything along with it and opening up a sense of release, space, and renewed optimism. The collaboration with Spiral Drive (Check out our interview with them!) adds a distinct psych-rock edge, pushing the track into a kaleidoscopic, psychedelic outro.
