I would LOVE to know what your ultimate rock song is for a party! I could then turn this into a playlist for an actual party!
I think for me it would have to be a toss up between Bon Jovi’s Livin’ on a prayer and AC/DC’s Back in black. This time I’ll go with the latter. But please let me know yours!

Many Happy Returns! ‘Brown Sugar’ by the Stones has been my favourite since back in the day, and guaranteed to get me up dancing whatever the occasion, so I gift it to you for your party. Additionally, ‘Too Old to Rock ‘n Roll, Too Young To Die’ by Jethro Tull isn’t exactly a party song, but the conclusion of the song, ‘You’re never too old to rock ‘n roll if you’re too young to die’ is a wonderful sentiment for any birthday. Party song? Hmm – never really been one for partying; music’s for expelling the demons rather than summoning the good times (for me – obviously your method varies and good on you for that). But, since you asked, I’d be tempted to go full Bradford: start with the miserable (My Dying Bride’s ‘A Kiss to Remember’), then get intense (Marmozets’ ‘Move Shake Hide’), before we celebrate the city itself (New Model Army’s ‘Mambo Queen of the Sandstone City) before we finish with a shot of Tequila (or two) with Terrorvison.
But Back in Black is a damn good choice if you fancy escaping West Yorkshire. Although you have to ask why you’d want to
