At Fox Reviews Rock, we live for discovering the upcoming bands that you need to listen to. The riffs, the noise and the chaos from bands pulling themselves up from the underground scene. So why wouldn’t we team up with a podcast that’s been doing exactly that since the MySpace days?! Yeah this one just makes perfect sense for all involved.
Indiestry Podcast
Enter Indiestry, a name that has been quietly (more often loudly) championing new music since 2007! What started as a MySpace promotion blog quickly turned into a fully fledged music network that connected artists, promoters and the people who actually care about the scene.
By 2011, Indiestry had levelled up, stepping into radio territory before landing it’s own podcast focused on Indie, Punk and Alternative music. There was even live events too, including an incident where Billy Lunn (Singer/Guitarist) of The Subways got charged entry because Mica didn’t recognise him. The best part was it was held at his local pub!
It hasn’t been plain sailing though, life hit hard in 2017 and everything shut down. The podcast disappeared, socials wiped and the project went dark. Thankfully like a phoenix, good things do not stay buried!
2025 Indiestry came back, rebuilt with vengeance and changed! It leans into something different in the podcast world, something weird and more importantly something better.
So what do things look (and sound) like now for Indiestry? It’s a scripted, character driven dark comedy podcast that plays some of the best new music around! One show however would not be enough , which is why they hit you with 3!
- Indiestry Session – A monthly deep dive into Indie, Alternative, Post-Punk and everything inbetween.
- Indiestry Metal – For when things get a little heavier, think Metalcore, Deathcore, Hardcore and Thrash.
- Indiestry Tracks – A bi-monthly show where the listeners get to vote for their favourite track to take the glory.
The podcast’s tagline says it all “Indiestry – The Best slightly unhinged new music podcast” and that is why this collaboration works!
Because at Fox Reviews Rock, we’re not here for polished, predictable or safe. We want to showcase bands you have not heard of yet. The sounds that hit hard and to find you , your new favourite song.
Indiestry fits that mould entirely, a little chaotic, passionate and 100% about the music. This is not just a collaboration, but a collision of two platforms built on the same wavelength.
Find great music, make loads of noise about it and repeat!
Mica – “So pleased to be collaborating with Fox Reviews Rock. Come and join us for all the best new music in the alternative, indie, noise and metal scene, plus some weirdness and drama too”
Ricky – “Enjoy it or I’ll kick your f****ng head in”
I thoroughly look forward to growing together, so if you will please check out Indiestry on socials and listen to their shows, you will be thoroughly entertained. You can also find their image on our main page, click to visit the podcast. All music featured in this article was taken from their amazing playlists too!
