The premise behind this post type is to get an insight into the daily lives of the bands that we love! We have given them some situations to attribute a song to and let us know why that song in particular is perfect!
You can check out the answers the band gave below, as well as jam out to the tunes they picked. Want to listen to the complete collection from this segment? Click the Spotify link below!
What is the perfect song for the gym?
I love listening to Tool – Pneuma for running because its got a really ploddy pace, and Limp Bizkit – Break Stuff or Don Broco’s stuff for lifting because it gets me pumped up!
What is your go to happy song, when you’re angry or sad?
For anger, I’d probably go for Aurora – The Blade (this song is all about getting in touch with anger for sure), for sadness I’m a big fan of Warpaints EP The Fool (it’s an amazing but incredibly sad album overall) and for a feel good song I’d go for Empire Of The Sun – We Are The People because it feels really sunny and high vibe to me.
The perfect song to put on while cooking?
I like to imagine I’m in Matilda and listen to Rusted Root – Send Me On My Way, it feels really wholesome and cute!
The wind down song at the end of a long day to get you to sleep?
Bonobo – Animal is really calming, lots of Bonobo’s stuff has that effect on me!
The song by Deaf Romero that you are most proud of?
Oooooh, it might be songs we haven’t put out yet! But of those released, I’d definitely say Just Dance because its the first one we wrote with dual vocals and we just fell in love with the idea of having another vocalist from that point!
Your all time favourite rock song?
The Pot by Tool for me! I never get sick of it
The perfect song to set the mood on a date?
Hot Chocolate – You Sexy Thing for sure (I don’t like to take myself too seriously!)
A song by an amazing local band we might not know about?
Fools Arcade – The Buzz – They’re a great band we’ve played with a few times from Leeds and it’s super catchy!
The perfect pre show song to amp you up?
The Fame by Santigold is one of my go to’s for this, I love to go for epic songs with a bit of attitude preshow to help me step into a certain role
A great song you think Fox Reviews Rock won’t have heard before?
Maybe Marmozets – Habits, its a deeper album rack and it’s an absolute banger of a rock song! They’ve been releasing new music recently too and they’re just incredible
