A-Z Of Rock: L Part 2

Welcome to our weekly alphabet themed rock post! In this post we will talk about a specific letter of the alphabet and associate it with all things rock music!

This will include a band with that letter, a song as well as a rocker. There is an accompanying playlist so that the selected songs can be enjoyed! Click the Spotify link below and remember to save it!

Band

I make no secret that I am a fan of Lo Rays. The Scottish band are going to be huge and I stand by that. With mixtures of pop choruses, hard instrumentals, and experimental textures. Lo Rays only have one direction they could head in and that is up. Quickly…

Lo Rays – Knee High (All Rights Are Retained By Lo Rays)

Song

If anyone reading this has not heard this song before I would be AMAZED! I picked it this time though so that little bit of relief from life that it provides. A feel great song if there ever was such a thing!

Rascal Flatts – Life Is A Highway (All Rights Are Retained By Rascal Flatts)

Rocker

L.E.M.M.Y… Yes he has a voice like he has been gargling stones. Yes he could drink anyone under the table. But boy god was he a fantastic rock frontman. Playing the bass like a guitar most of the time, there is a reason why he is the site’s footer!

Motorhead – Hellraiser (All Rights Are Retained By Motorhead)

I have to admit that I’m more of a fan of the original version of “Life Is a Highway” by Tom Cochrane. It was a big hit for him in the early 1990’s, and it’s one of those songs that I strongly associate with my high school years. If you haven’t heard the Tom Cochrane version, you should check it out and see what you think of it.

Oh I know the original 🙂 I just prefer this version, probably because of its association with cars the pixar film 🙂

Love that version, and the Tom Cochrane one too. But Tommy boy may be not as known as Rascal Flatts, as he is Canadian, but yesh. Lemmy!! 🤘🎸
