Today, we’re chatting with post-emo outfit Passionflower, the freshly crowned winners of Kerrang! Radio’s “The Deal” 2026. Check out what to expect from their set!

Could you introduce yourself and describe your specific genre of music?

Hey we are Kyle (Vocals & Guitar) , Nathan (Guitar ) , Liam (Bass) & Josh( Drums)  and we describe our music as Post-Emo.

Could you let people know what it was like winning Kerrang! Radio “The Deal” as it is how you got your spot on this years Download Festival line-up?

We were really fortunate that we had so many people that believed in us enough to vote for us to be finalists in the top 10. From there it was just up to the judges to decide that it was our time in the sun.

How does it feel to be playing at Download Festival 2026?

It feels so amazing yet so surreal to be playing at download, this is all we have dreamed about since being kids and discovering some of our favourite bands from Kerrang! Tv and reading about them in Kerrang! Magazine so to be able to be on the line up is so crazy.

Which day, time, and stage can fans catch your performance?

We are playing on Saturday at 11am on the Avalanche Stage. 

Which of your tracks should new listeners check out first to get a taste of your sound?

If you could cover any song by another artist on this year’s line-up, which would you choose, and how would you put your own spin on it?

I’d love to take a crack at eat you alive by Limp Bizkit and add  a filthy breakdown.

What do the next 12 months look like for Passionflower?

We will be working with our new label Marshall Records on making our best music yet!
