Which Fictional World Would Be The Most Fun To Vacation In?

Daily writing prompt
Which fictional world would be the most fun to vacation in?

This one is EASY for me… I’d bypass Middle Earth and Westeros for a fantasy world within a video game! Brutal Land from the game Brutal Legend would be my pick 7 days a week and maybe even twice on a Sunday!

Complete with a cracking soundtrack of all the best rock songs… Including but not limited to songs by Judas Priest , Ozzy Osbourne, Whitesnake, Def Leppard. There are over 100 tracks from the biggest rock and metal names, so who wouldnt want that playing around them constantly.

Judas Priest – One Shot At Glory (All Rights Are Retained By Judas Priest)

Not to mention the kickass Hotrod that you get to ride around in, and a barron landscape that you can both have fun in and collect your thoughts. The PERFECT holiday destination.

Where would you pick?

What a wonderfully fun question! Fictional worlds often feel like places we have already visited in our imagination, so choosing one for a vacation is harder than it sounds. A delightful post that makes you want to pack a bag and step straight into a favourite book.

If someone forced you to pick one? 🙂

Middle Earth would be fascinating, as long as I was able to hang out with either the dwarves or the elves (they have the best food and alcohol!). Of course, the hobbits have the pipe weed… 😉

Haha I think you’d be able to hang out with those types of people, I’d probably run if you see an Orc…

There are so many worlds to choose from. But I would love to visit Middle Earth in different points of time in all 3 ages. The places list would be a very long indeed.

I think Middle Earth would kick ass to be fair! It would be awesome

I see most responses are for Middle Earth. I would say the same, but if I could slip into the Arthurian world created by Mary Stewart, I’d give that my first vote hands down.

Well, it all kinda depends, right? How much wealth/influence do you have? What friends or lackeys? Smeagol or Aragorn? Are you Captain America or that extra smushed on the sidewalk in Act One?

Assuming a decent level of non-fatality, Discworld has to be a candidate. Or the Futurama world might be slightly less instant-deathesque.

In the land of music, Down Under surely must be a candidate. “Heroes” is probably too defiant-in-the-face-of-doom-y, but I’d like to be welcomed to Alice Cooper’s nightmare (as a scarer, not a scaree).

My big hard no goes to 2112 by Rush. I mean, away with your Ayn Rand self-contradicting bullshit. Oh, and there don’t seem to be too many smiles in Pink Floyd’s ouvre either
