What Are Your Favourite 5 Apps On Your Phone?

Daily writing prompt
What are your favorite 5 apps on your phone?

So as you could well imagine a lot of the apps on my phone have some sort of musical theme that runs between them. Below are my 5 choices but I would love to hear yours!

Spotify

I know sometimes they get a bad rep but honestly I do not know where I would be without Spotify! I have countless playlists for nearly any mood, and for website content on there. I find it a really easy app to use too and I adore when my songs end that it picks a song that is similar to play me. I have found many songs that way.

Lyfta

This is a relatively new app for me but as I have just started a new lifting journey to become healthier Lyfta is great! It is where I track all my workouts and honestly it is just so much nicer than having it on a notepad.

Jetpack

So this app is so valuable for editing articles that we write here at Fox Reviews Rock while out and about! I was able to write all of the Stonedead Festival review (coming soon) while at the festival! Madness and very very useful.

Ticketmaster

Pretty much the only place I ever buy tickets to rock shows from. I like their integrated bar code system which makes it super easy to get into gigs. But I have to be honest their search for finding concerts is rubbish!

Gallery

It’s all about looking back and remembering in HD for me. Whether that be at my 2 year olds progression or that gig I went to 4 years ago, I don’t know where I would be without my photos!

I actually don’t spend too much time on my phone, but I generally use my mail app, camera app, photos, and probably the music and podcast apps. The latter two are the most used. Gotta have my tunes!

Tunes are so important! I wish I spent less time on my phone but I never stop always something that needs doing!

Drafting a whole festival review from the Jetpack app is a strong endorsement – I always assume mobile writing will be miserable and then end up doing it anyway in an airport. My five would skew embarrassingly practical: maps, a currency converter, an offline translator, the airline app, and the camera. Good luck with the lifting; tracking it properly does seem to be half the battle.

Drafting a full festival review directly on the Jetpack app while at the festival itself is pure dedication! 🎸 Spotify and the Gallery app are total non-negotiables for me too—music and memories make up 90% of phone storage anyway! Loved reading through your top 5, and good luck with the new lifting journey on Lyfta!

It can for sure! But I find it really hard to get back into it after a break I guess 🙂

That mental hurdle after a break is so real! 😅 The key is just showing up for that first session back—even a quick light workout breaks the seal and gets the momentum rolling again. You’ve got this! 💪✨

Jetpack earning a spot because you can draft a festival review from wherever you happen to be standing is very relatable — half of what we write gets typed on a phone in a car park or a departure lounge. And swapping the lifting notepad for Lyfta is a small change that seems to make people actually stick with it. Good luck with the new routine.

Great list! Spotify would definitely be one of my picks too—having the right playlist for every mood is hard to beat. I also love having apps that make everyday tasks easier, especially when I’m working on content while away from my computer.

For me, my phone is also a great source of hairstyle inspiration. I’m always saving ideas for different cuts and styles, especially short haircuts for women over 60. There are so many modern and flattering options now: https://evelynhairstyles.com/short-haircuts-for-women-over-60/

Thanks for the fun prompt! It’s interesting seeing how differently everyone uses their phones.

Your love for Spotify’s auto mix feature really shines through. I’ve also discovered new songs that way. I am glad Lyfta is helping you log the new lifting journey you mentioned; tracking workouts on a phone beats a notepad any day. It’s clever that Jetpack let you finish the Stonedead Festival review on the road. When you’re using Lyfta to log lifts, a quick hip and lower back stretch after each session can keep the joints supple and reduce stiffness, especially if you’re spending a lot of time seated while scrolling through apps.
