This is going to sound really minor, but I have missed out so much because of this… Always, Always, ALWAYS choose to see the older band if torn between two on a festival line up. Especially if you have not seen them before.
I only caught three songs by Aerosmith previously at Download Festival, instead I chose to go and see a younger band instead. As fate would have it when Aerosmith were next booked I had to miss the day they were playing due to family illness. They have never played again and now likely wont.
The other band I chose to see? Trivium, a great band but I have seen them twice since, and likely will see them again many times.
Always see the older band! Because of this I made the decision to pay an eyewatering amount to go and see AC/DC when they last played the UK and you know what… Worth EVERY damn penny.
