As always with my Tuesday up-and-coming bands posts , I focus on bands with under 500,000 monthly streams on Spotify, hopefully you discover new music along with me on this journey. I’ll be adding 3 songs from these weekly posts to my own Spotify Playlist.
Background Information
In 2012, the rock trio Florence Black from South Wales was born. The band is made up of Tristan Thomas on vocals and guitar, Jordan Evans on bass, and Perry Davies on drums. Their music is a unique mix of 70s metal, 80s rock, and hints of Alter Bridge. Originally starting out as a covers band, their rendition of Breadfan is absolutely fantastic! A cool connection is that Tristan actually played with Budgie, the original artist of Breadfan, when he was younger. And if you’re looking for a big-name endorsement, just know that Corey Taylor personally chose them to open for Stone Sour in Paris.
Who Do They Sound Like?
This band is for fans of Those Damn Crows, Black Stone Cherry & Tremonti.
Latest Album
Latest album Bed of Nails was released in 2024 and is an instant hit following on from the success of their 2021 release Weight of the World.
