This Week’s Tunes Vol – 1

Welcome to our weekly post dedicated to what each member of the team has been listening to. Delve into the inner workings of what comes out of the speaker at Fox Reviews Rock HQ!

What’s more is that every song in these posts will end up on a dedicated Spotify playlist. Meaning you can catch up on all our favourite new tunes!

Fox

Linkin Park – The Emptiness Machine.

It’s been out for a couple of weeks at this point, but this really is a fantastic track! I still have massive reservations about them calling the band Linkin Park.

But, that doesn’t take away from this great song! Emily’s vocals are really brilliant on this , and I hope once the album comes out my viewpoint changes. Good luck to her and to the whole band!

Rex

The Prize Fighter Inferno Elm Street Loverboy.

Coheed and Cambria are my all time favourite band and I was going to pick a song by them, but I stumbled upon The Prize Fighter Inferno when trying to pick a song for this segment.

He is the frontman of Coheed and Cambria, but he created The Prize Fighter Inferno during the covid pandemic while going through a rough time, we found an outlet in writing and performing songs a lot more emotional and raw than Coheed’s usual theme.

I picked this song because I think Claudio Sanchez is such an incredibly talented human and deserves so much recognition with his music and comic books! (The Amory Wars)

Elm Street Loverboy – The Prize Fighter Inferno (All rights retained by The Prize Fighter Inferno)

St Jimmy

Slackrr – Playing with Fire.

A band I only discovered last month, as I was bored one Saturday and decided to check out my local music venues to see who was playing, this is where I stumbled across this band who is touring all the time! I enjoy this song in particular as you can easily sing along to it.

I think it’s important to support your local venues and up and coming bands, that’s why I want to show some love for Slackrr for this week’s tune.

You can read the review on our concerts section.

Cozzer

Fit For An Autopsy – Hostage.

I like how the riff instantly grabs your attention and lets you know the song means business.

Lucky Luke

Linkin Park – No More Sorrow.

The build up for the pre-chorus is so intense. When it drops, it gives everyone goosebumps.

Because we are remote to each other the list will always be truly random , the only time we would change songs is if two of us chose the same one 😁👍🏻

Please come back and see this post type weekly , we promise it will be completely different songs next time! 🙂

Also why not save the spotify playlist ? Means you can jam out to it whenever you want and all in the same place! There might even be a cheeky preview of 1 of the next weeks songs already on there!

I have to say I’m impressed with Linkin Park’s Emptiness machine and the female vocals work fucking well indeed!

      Agreed!

Still struggling to fit it to the Linkin Park name though perosnally.
