There will be a brief explanation about why I (Fox) enjoy the song in question from each category before I rank them at the end in terms of my own preference. I would love to hear your own person ranking as well as why you agree with or disagree with my comments.

New Rock Roundup
Rock
Blondshell – Berlin TV Tower.
For my rock tune of the week I am going with this softer number, which is a song about war, hope and is also beautiful.
Metal
The Devil Wears Prada – When You’re Gone.
What I like about this song is how while the harsh vocals are there and killer, they never take over the song. With a great flow this shows the bands ability to craft and balance a song.
Metalcore
Of Mice & Men – Flowers.
There is something I love, love, love about a metalcore song that is actually more melodic than harsh. Of Mice & Men are a band I have adored for a very long time, you might now too!
Punk
Buckled – This One’s For Us.
Fast, fun and punk. There is not really too much more to add to this other than it is a 2 minute long thrill ride!
Pop Punk
Ben Quad – All Your Luck.
This in parts feels like an emo anthem, yet it is sung in a pop-punk style which makes it really addictive and intriguing! I also want to give a special nod to the drumming here!
Alternative
Home Front – Between The Waves.
The Cure! Ok so it Isn’t The Cure, but man does it have that vibe to it. Listen to it and tell me you don’t hear it.
Indie
The Neighbourhood – Hula Girl.
This song feels so airy and fresh! The lyrics are really inventive, and the guitar has this soft almost background style that I really like.
