What Are Some Life Hacks That You Practice?

What are some life hacks that you practice?

The one that I follow is always checking resale tickets first for events on Ticketmaster, especially rock concerts. The reason is that the mass majority of the time you can pick absolute bargains vs full price tickets as people just want some of their money back.

I recently went to see My Chemical Romance at the biggest stadium in the UK. It cost me just £42. When I had previously looked into going tickets were upwards of £100. You can read that review here. I’ve done it previously with football tickets too when visiting Milan and Dortmund.

What’s a life hack that you use?

    That’s a great tip!

Mine is an odd one – I keep vegetable cuttings – carrots, celery, onion, etc. – in a plastic bag in the freezer. I use them to make vegetable stock every week. I then use that instead of water when I make rice, soups, boil potatoes, or anything else that requires boiling. Adds a ton of flavor. The boiled veg then goes into my compost bin.

Ooooh I like that! I might have to borrow that one… My daughter has just started loving soup so that sounds like a winner to me 🙂

Resale tickets are such a clutch trick for live shows! My personal go-to hack is using price-tracking browser extensions and clearing cookies before booking travel. Thanks for sharing this tip!

Ah I had not thought about using price trackers or clearing cookies, that is a great idea!

They’re total game-changers! Browser price trackers save so much hassle, and clearing cookies keeps sites from bumping up prices while you browse. Glad it was a useful tip 😊

£42 against the £100+ you’d been quoted for My Chemical Romance is a properly convincing bit of evidence — and the logic holds, people would rather recover something than nothing. I hadn’t thought to apply it to football tickets abroad; that’s the bit I’m stealing. Our version is booking the return leg of a flight separately, which sounds like faff until it saves a few hundred.
