Amplified Pick
Mica: This week’s Indiestry Amplified Pick is by a brand-new band called D.O.G.S and their powerhouse of a debut single ‘Feed’ which they released just a couple of days ago on the 18th of September.
D.O.G.S are an alternative rock band based in Cardiff, Wales who formed in 2025 after becoming friends while studying music at University. D.O.G.S are Kian (Vocals / Rhythm guitar), Sam (Lead Guitar), Jack (Drums) and Rhion (Bass). ‘Feed’ was produced by Gethin Pearson and mastered by Felix Davis at Metropolis Studios.
Their debut single ‘Feed’ immediately impressed me with its intricate heavy wall of sound powered by their mix of influences throughout from such guitar-driven giants such as Nirvana, Pearl Jam, Pixies and Radiohead, yet it doesn’t sound like it’s trying to sound like anyone in particular, it sounds like D.O.G.S with a discreet nod to their 80’s and 90’s contemporaries. If this is what they dish out at the very start of their musical career, then I’m very intrigued to hear more.
Ricky: Give these Dogs a bone! What a f**cking TUNE!
